Qatar is reportedly providing military, armament and financial support to terrorist groups in the Middle East and a number of other countries. According to a recent report by the American media Fox News, based on their findings, Qatar is providing assistance to terrorist groups in the Middle East, which poses a threat to the security of the region.
Fox News also reported that Qatar also finances Hezbollah, a terrorist group in the Middle East, along with other groups that use Doha aid to incite Shiite-Sunni wars in other countries and create more problems. According to the report, the Qatar royal family has direct links to and is involved in aiding terrorist groups. According to some experts, the actions of the Kingdom of Qatar are against all international principles and conventions and the United Nations must take serious action in this regard.
Political analyst Shafaullah Sadiq said Qatar's support for terrorist groups for its own political purposes was against the UN Charter, it is mentioned that, in order to interfere in the affairs of other countries, it is necessary to avoid contact with groups that spoil relations between states. Doha, the capital of Qatar, has now become a hotbed of malicious politics and intelligence, he said.
Abdul Rahim Kakar, an affairs expert, said Qatar was clearly supporting the Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan and had provided similar offices and homes in Doha.
"Qatar is not really helping the Afghan peace process," he said. Rather, they want to secure their future interests in Afghanistan through the Taliban.
Earlier, a number of countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, imposed sanctions on Qatar for aiding terrorist groups and Iran, a terrorist-sponsoring country.
